PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES – Glynnette Hale
The September 15, 2010 BoD Meeting minutes were submitted to the board and were approved as submitted.
TREASURER’S REPORT – Glynnette Hale
The October 2010 Treasurer Report was submitted to the board and approved as submitted.
TECHNICAL COMMITTEE REPORTS
Certification: -- Bob McMartin
- Sam Garrell has completed a draft of his certification paper and will submit it after peer review & edits.
- Steven Witt received notice from Tanya Graham at National that he successfully passed his Technical Paper portion of the Certification cycle (Steven -- Congratulations from the Gang!!!!)
Education: -- Larry Fletcher
1. The Estimating Academy is on hold. The Board indicated that it will have to be pushed out to a later date instead of the fall 2010 timeframe as previously targeted. Discussions continued about how to draw more people out to attend and more involvement by the Roadrunner Members to warrant going forward with future seminars.
- It was recommended that we develop a presentation of a typical “Bid Day” scenario as a seminar topic to be added to seminar topics discussed in previous BoD meetings.
2. Larry submitted a draft perspective on estimating classes that our chapter could help develop as requested earlier by the folks at the Construction Reporter. Larry has continued discussions as noted in previous BoD meeting minutes. Larry indicated that interest and response from the Construction Reporter point of contact has been waning over the last few months since initial contact.

No awards were submitted to SBO for this year’s convention. Glynnette indicated that the same guidelines for submittal remain in place based on info from the Fall 2010 Regional meeting.

Membership: -- Pat Arrington, E
- Two new members may join ASPE from JB Henderson (Leish Weger and David Wiegand). Their status is still pending. Richard reported that Leish & David did not want to join at this time, but want to come to the meetings, that they can pick-n-choose. He is still working on getting them to join.
- Bob asked about the status of Marty McAllister (Noel Co.) joining ASPE because of earlier contact. Glynnette said she would follow up on the status of Marty joining.
Programs: -- General Board Members
A Program update was provided by Glynnette as shown under the “Upcoming Programs” Section. We currently only have the upcoming Christmas Party in the Program Cue and Glynnette is checking on potential restaurants.
Recommendations were made for a presentation on solar energy projects.
- Richard will check with Solar Resources as a potential presenter.
- Bob said he would check with Dennis Basile at SMSI to present his recent experiences in installing solar panels on his home in ABQ.

OTHER GENERAL BUSINESS
Glynnette reported on general business from the recent October 2010 ASPE Regional Meeting:
- Chapter Handbooks have been re-written and posted on the ASPE website.
- Reports from other Chapters in the NW/SW Regions indicated that overall membership attendance is down similar to what our Road Runner Chapter is experiencing. Typical recommendations were made at the convention as to how a chapter can increase attendance…
