OTHER COMMITTEE REPORTS
Newsletter: -- Glynnette Hale & John Pike
Glynnette is currently committed to other ASPE matters that require more attention than the Newsletter can spare. John Pike did not pick up the ball and run with it. Ideas were discussed about shorting the “newsletter” to a “newspage”. Current progress as far as a name goes, Either S.I.L.O, or S.W.A.G was popular among attendees of the meeting.
Industry Awareness: -- Bob McMartin
AIA Western Regional Conference: Santa Fe NM October 23-24 Robert Mallory has obtained a complimentary booth area for the ASPE to set up in for the conference. ASPE National was contacted to request presentation materials (e.g. brochures, membership applications, copies of past ASPE magazines, etc.) be sent to Bob’s ABQ office in time for the AIA conference. These materials will also be used in the ASPE Booth for the upcoming CASS show on January 16th & 17th.
Volunteers are needed for both events! Avoid the lines and volunteer now!!

Website: -- Open
Larry found several online community calendars for ASPE to advertise. At The meeting Larry submitted a handout with the websites we can all view now. At this point in the discussion, Robert Mallory made a motion to hand the maintenance of these public calendar websites go to Troy Dunow (due to the public relation nature of the advertisement) Bob McMartin seconded this motion and by a show of hands this passed. Larry would also like to make an announcement at the October meeting to see if there would be any volunteers who would be willing to take over the maintenance of the website; Larry feels this is vital to the chapters growth!

OTHER GENERAL BUSINESS
- Larry and Glynnette reminded the Board that our ASPE chapter is planning on having members provide estimating/seminar type presentations to the local AGC, at their facility, on November 14th, 2008. The agenda for the presentations is still being developed and everyone is encouraged to volunteer and help with this effort. Please contact Larry with topics that you can present or volunteer to help others with their presentations.
- A donation was made for $100.00 in George Canham’s (FCPE) name to National ASPE for recognition of past services.
